I stopped taking 80mg of Geodon and got a rash! This happened to me when I stopped Lamectil. Has anyone had this happen? Is it just a withdrawl thing?
Its not life threatening. No fever. It's an itchy rash on my neck.
I started taking Trileptal a few days later, but I've taken Trileptal in the past and didn't have any problems with rash.
Any input?

I suppose when something is leaving the body rapidly, it could do that. It wouldn't be too far fetched to me.
May I ask why you discontinued Lamictal and Geodon?
I am just starting on Lamictal so if it's a horrific story, just sugar coat it and humor me.
Try Benadryl for that rash too. It should help.

I stopped taking the Lamectil after 9-10 days because my gums starting itching and it felt like my teeth were going to fall out. Too bad though, Lametil was a great mood stabilzer, which seemed to have antidepressant effects as well.
I think the doctor started me on too high a dose of Geodon - 80mg. 2x/day. I couldn't get a deep breath and working out I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. It was like speed, buzzing all day, couldn't sleep and not hungrey at all. Plus - no orgasim.
So I'm back to Trileptal 450 mg. and Wellbutrin XL 150mg a day. I miss the Geodon mania. I'm wondering if the Trileptal makes me hungry - we'll see. Plus, the initial high feeling from Wellbutrin is gone - maybe I need to up it to 300/day. I'm overweight and need to lose poundage so I won't try anything which could make me fatter.
I think I've tried everything.
