Hey everyone....
I am thinking about starting adderall in XR format. Have any of you that have been on this med have significant rises in your BP?? I am on a very low dose beta blocker for mild hypertension.
I tried Ritalin a few days last week (5 mg) and it seemed to help, but I did not like the terrible headaches or irritability after it wears off. I have originally been dx with GAD, not ADD,
and have tried many meds such as SSRI's and can't handle due to the side effects.What are the pros and cons to this med??? Besides the listed ones?? I have heard that it does have a very calming and more stable affect when taken.
Any help would be appreciated!

My daughter is taking Adderall XR, just 20mg per day, and after one month I can already see the difference in how much it had calmed her down. Her grades are improving and she's not as hyper as she was before starting the medication. She's acting more her age these days, which is almost 17, thank goodness! I give Adderall an A, for now. I hope the progress continues for us. My best to you. -L
