Nardil and hypotension

Posted by Ted_Brossnan on March 16, 2005, at 20:33:36

Hi. It has been two days I am feeling severe dizziness and faintness. I am taking now 60mg. I am not notincing any nummerical low blood pressure on the BP meter, except for slower heart rate (by 10 bpm).

I have been taking Nardil now for 20 days now. Would this get better soon? What can I do to counteract this?

Thanks,
Ted.

Few docs are aware that Reglan -- about 10 mg x 2/day can help. I was given it with Parnate and stayed on it for about 15 years.

Hi Ted!

Is it you? You've changed your name!

Have you measured your BP while sitting and also while standing?

Ed.

Hei,

Yes. I lost my password after I lost my roboform directory :-(

I always measured it while sitting. I would try to measure it standing.

Don't you know what I can do to help this?

Thanks,
Ted.

Well. I don't feel too much dizziness at this particular moment. But my BP standing is:

99mmHG/69mmHG, 68 BPM.

Not sure what to make out of this?!

PS. What is your normal BP while sitting down? ie. before you started Nardil.

Ed.

It was around 120/75 while sitting.

That will tell if the Nardil is lowering your BP. Compare it to what your normal is l20/70. Fondly, Phillipa

I sent the link to ed_uk about hypotension management (atypicals and maoi). Ask him. I have it on another computer,
