Hi Jeroen

Who's idea was this?

I know of someone whom had great success preventing Zyprexa weight gain using amantadine.

Hello,

The nicotine patch can sometimes relieve tics, it has been used to treat Tourette's syndrome. I wonder whether it might help Jeroen.

remember i only took 75 mg at night nothing in the morning, and it started on day 6 on 75 mg in 3 PM afternoon

even a week off i had same problems, i think ur right it might been taking the dosage not right

i had the same thing with GEODON if i missed one dose i get hardcore anxiety and my heart beating like crazy

mmm ed can you answer this question, what would usually happen when i dont take seroquel twice a day?

could this be the problem because i didnt took it twice a day? and i already in the afternoon suffering from withdrawal symptoms like i have now a week later totally of it?

if thats the case the seroquel might cure me. but im not sure of cure of my eye problem

Hi J,

>lol nicotine for tardive dyskinesia, when i smoke the eye blinking spasms are getting worse

:-( I don't suppose a nicotine patch would help then. Anyway, this could be a good opportunity to quit smoking!!

>remember i only took 75 mg at night nothing in the morning, and it started on day 6 on 75 mg in 3 PM afternoon

The panic attack could have been a withdrawal symptom, at 3pm it was a long time since your last dose, the amount of Seroquel in your brain would have been low when you had the attack.

Tell me this....

Was the panic attack that you had while you were taking Seroquel similar to the one that you had after you'd stopped Seroquel?

>could this be the problem because i didnt took it twice a day?

It could be, if you want to try Seroquel again you could take it every 12 hours, twice daily. For example, you could take your morning dose at 8am and your evening dose at 8pm.

Seroquel has a short half-life (about 6 to 7 hours). You might need to take it three times a day!

Good luck! I really hope it works out. If not, you can always return to Seroquel. Leponex could be useful if Seroquel doesn't work out.

You know how some people suggest to take one day at a time? That's good advice, but sometimes doesn't take into consideration those times that are the most intensely painful. For those, you might have to take one moment at a time. To get through even one hour might be a momentous achievement.

I don't know what else to say to you at the moment, except that you could perhaps discuss with your doctor the use of Klonopin. Make sure you tell your doctor about everything you are thinking, feeling, and experiencing.

Take care of yourself.

I guess what I was trying to say is that you are doing a magnificent job of working towards getting well and not giving up.

Klonopin might help you. Ask your doctor about it.

Best wishes.

Hi J,

>i am still withdrawing from seroquel is been 1 week and 3 days now, i still feel high off it, when should it be out of my system?

What do you mean when you say you feel high? Don't forget to answer LOL.

>but read this man, i dont want to get fat on the zyprexa but i dont want this to happen to me

Have you ever gained weight on an antipsychotic in the past? Perhaps you wouldn't gain much weight on Zyprexa, not everybody does, although weight gain in a very common side effect.

If you do gain a lot of weight, you could try orlistat, a drug which reduces the amount of fat that your body absorbs when you eat. Serious side effects are very unlikely with orlistat, although it *will* cause diarrhea if you eat too much fatty food! You have to control yourself and eat healthily!

As you know, amantadine can cause depression and psychosis in some people. For other people, amantadine acts as an antidepressant. When you took amantadine before it seemed to make you feel better, perhaps it acts as an antidepressant for you :-)

Weigh yourself regularly while you're on Zyprexa, unless you're gaining tonnes of weight you won't need a weight-loss drug. Try to eat a healthy diet, ask your mother to buy lots of fruit and vegetables!

Ed.

i cant stop eating on zyprexa, this drug gives me diabetes for sure no doubt. i was planning taking amantadine with it because ive read it stops the weight gain, but ive read it causes psychosis..

ii felt its anti depressant effect, but i was thinking lot of good things while on it, like there is a cure for everything, i hope it wasnt psychotic, still i had side effects from it, im just worried that it will cause psychosis in me, that would be making my life from nightmare into hell.

yes i felt high on seroquel, my friend also took it and felt stoned

this is the first drug i respond to, but i dunno what to do now, is amantadine safe with zyprexa?
