I just started taking effexor and i was wondering when do i feel like my self again all i want to do is sleep and it has made me so sick to my stomach,No more panic attacks but i feel like i am not really here and i dont talk much to anyone. All i want to do is get better.

For me, yes it did get better. It took about a week before the bad side effects went away, then about another five days before I started to feel better. It was about six weeks total before I felt back to "normal". I have posted on this board extensively about my experiences, so if you want to you can search for my posts.
While Effexor works well for some, it also has had very problematic and debilitating effects for others. Your mileage may vary.
