Does it tend to be activating or sleepymaking?

hey! I never found Cymbalta to be activating or sedating...anyway, if you can tolerate any potenial side-effects (it might make you drowsy, I suppose) I've always heard the ideal time to take it is in the AM--preferably before you eat. I always took it with my Adderall. The company apparently found that AM dosing (without food) allowed for maximum absorption.

Where did you find the info on the optimal time for dosing Cymbalta?
Thanks,

I take Cymbalta with meals because if I don't my heart starts racing. So usually, 20 mg @ 2pm and 20 mg @ 8pm.

eli lilly, the company that makes cymbalta, has the information on the cymbalta website...I think it may be located in the part of the site for professionals, but I'm not sure.

It also is on the insert that comes with the medication, or call your pharmacist and ask him/her. I was told to take mine in the am. Fondly, Phillipa
