Cymbalta continued to let the weight pile on. And it is wobbly, squishy weight. I told my pdoc that I WOULD NOT take any more antidepressants. Needless to say, this horrified her so I conceded to try Zoloft as I had taken this for about 6 weeks some years ago. I have had absolutely no side effects whatsoever. The trick is in whether I will gain weight or not.
I have no idea what dosage I am taking. The nursing staff keep that quite under wraps here.
Anyway - just thought I would let y'all know.

Hi Sabrina!
It's so good to hear from you :-) Vwoolf has been keeping me up-to-date.
I just posted to you on the social board 2 seconds ago!
I wanted to ask you whether you'd ever taken lofepramine (Emdalen). I found it helped my depression and I know it's available in South Africa.
Get well soon,
Ed xxx

Just wanted to say hello, Sabrina, and that I hope you're on the mend. Take very good care of yourself, since all of us who care about you can't come and do it for you.
Be well.

Hope the Zoloft works out for you. It's so unfair that we have to worry about weight gain on top of the depression. That's very strange that the nurses won't tell you what dose you're taking. I would think that you'd have a right to know that. But the important thing is that you're tolerating the Zoloft and that it starts to work for you without weight gain. My thoughts are with you.Kara

Are you in a hospital, not to be intrusive. But, you certainly have a right to know what dose medication you are on. Why won't they tell you? Fondly, Phillipa
