Hi.
I could not take the withdrawal from the Adderall XR any longer.
I started the short acting dexedrine today. I was prescribed 30mg a day and have 5 mg tabs.I took 10mg 3 hours ago and I am starting to go down. I am worried about crashing so I want to take my next dosage BEFORE I crash. But then I don't have enough for each day at the prescribed 30 mg per day ...
I know everyone is different. But for those of you who take it, how many times a day do you take it(hours between dosages) and what dosage?
BTW, I couldn't get the long acting dexedrine because since Adderall XR was pulled pharmacies are having trouble ordering it. I tried 7 pharmacies. That is why I am taking the short acting format (or regular ... whatever you want to call them).
Oh yeah .... I'm crashing. Maybe 5 mg will help ...

Okay now I am crying so much I can barely see the screen and the urge to self injure is strong ...
I can't manage dosing the dexedrine..... I want my Adderall XR back please. Please ...

> MaximeI would try taking 5mg doses every 3 hours (5-6 tabs daily). It's a drag to have to dose so frequently, but that's dex for you. I found no evidence of crash until about the 3 1/2 hr. mark, and by 4 1/2 hrs it was definitely under way, and by 6 hrs. totally crashed (back when I took it). Thank goodness you don't have to deal with short-acting methylphenidate! Another thing I found that helped was avoid taking a tablet first thing in the morning-try couple cups of strong coffee instad and then wait a couple of hours or so before your first dose.
