I go for ultra sound liver test tomorow at 7:30 am. I'm not supposed to eat after supper and no drink after midnight. What about my meds, can I take the pills at 10 pm like I normaly do, or do I need to take them at supper. And in the morning Can I take any pills? Realy need to know about 10 pm pills, probably skip the morning dose till I eat.

This question is worth bothering the doctor with. Call him and ask. You don't want a false reading. Good luck, I hope it's nothing serious. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi:
When I got ultra sound test years back, ... nothing related with my Bp problems,... other physical related. In my recollection, I was instructed, 'NO drink, NO food' from my attending physician. Also, there is a BROCHURE I received upon my impending appt. with. I believe, you too got one, ... if not, you certainly need to call Radiology/office where you are going for Ultra Sound.

What they gave me was instructions on food and drink. I later checked the website and found that you can take all necisary meds, but it is not recomended that you take them less than 8 hours before. I took everything by 8 pm and fell to sleep. No results yet.
