OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's with all the yelling?
I hope my guess about risperidone was right. I thought that it might be a good drug for you to try based upon what I had encountererd in the medical literature and how well you responded to Zyprexa. Throw a little intuition in there somewhere.
Good luck.

My grandmother takes Risperdal (0.5 mg/day, I think) for Bipolar. She feels GOOD on it. My mother and some other people think that she's a bit harder to get along with when she's on Risperdal. My mother also said that she likes to argue about anything. She said that it makes her a little bit on the high (hypomanic) side all the time. She was easier to get along with when she was on Depakote, though. But on Risperdal, she flips out more easily, but she says she feels great on that drug.

Supposedly, the risk of EPS and TD becomes significant with risperidone at dosages of 6.0mg and higher. I think 3.0 mg is safe. When you first start risperidone, you might feel some things that you won't like. For some people, it can produce anxiety, which might make it seem like your OCD is getting worse. You might also feel somewhat depressed, slowed-down, sedated, or somnolent. These startup effects might take 5-10 days to disappear. Try not to react too quickly by discontinuing risperidone should these things emerge. It really can feel like a different drug 2 weeks into treatment.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. You deserve to live without being hampered by OCD.

> - ScottThanks so much Scott - those sentiments mean a lot to me, mate. OCD has been the big bad bugbear....really hard to knock it out....man, withoubt meds the pain it creates just so much makes me want to put a bullet in my head -- but even that thought doesn't relly ease the pain of it.
Enough negativity -- here i go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks bro,
Andrew

I do not have OCD but have generalized anxiety and anxious/depressive obsessional rumination. Risperdal obliterated my anxiety quite well. I did not tolerate it well long-term though. Dizzy and fatigued starting the second week. But hey we are all different and as i said it helped quite impressively.
