how to get rid of anafranil weight gain?

i have been taking anafranil (25-50 mg) for the last week and have put on 5 pounds. although i have been eating a bit more, it does not seem like 5 pounds worth. i had been dieting pretty successfully before this. does anafranil weight gain go away in time? can you successfully diet on anafranil? what causes the weight gain--increased appetite, slower metabolism or what?
