Hi Jeroen,

>i want to take 25 mg, i dont see a problem?

Since you're not being monitored by your doctor, I think it would be best to take half a 25mg tablet for the first two nights, just to be safe and to let your body get used to the Seroquel. Then you can increase the dose to 25mg. Please tell me what you decide to do.

>i miss her for 4 months now, she not said a word to me

Why don't you call her? She might be waiting for your call.

Hi,

>ill do that take half tablet but its seroquel fumarate

Yes, Seroquel contains quetiapine fumarate. I suppose you'll need to use a knife to cut a tablet in half.

>i taught those 25 mg tablets were much bigger, its so small is it safe?

The 25mg tablets are small. I just looked in a database and it said that the UK Seroquel 25mg tablets are only 6.1 mm across. In the UK, the 25mg tablets are pink/red. On one side of the tablet it says 'SEROQUEL 25' and the other side is blank. Do your tablets look like this?

>what side effects do i need to be carefull about

Common side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, increased heart rate, and abdominal (stomach) pain.

Serious side effects are rare. Serious side effects of Seroquel are fainting, neuroleptic malignant syndrome and a reduced number of while blood cells.

> thanks for your help

You're welcome :-) What do your tablets look like?

Don't be afraid. I took a total of l00mg in a night in the hospital. The only side effect was feeling "drunk". Didn't you take a very high dose of seroquel once already? Nothing happened to you did it? I know, you hate Geodon, but it's the past. Now, it's time to "move forward". A year is a long time away, and Ed is right you are Sooooo young. Just think of all the new treatments that are being discovered. Take one half of the pill tonight. I thought you had a doctor? How do you get a prescription without a doctor? By the way, the drunk feeling went away in a few hours. Fondly, Phillipa

im not happy about my past and sure not happy with my health wich is the future.

i hope god will give me another chance. i will stay good to other people. i rather die then do something wrong

i am punished by god, 1. the eye spasms and uncontrolled movements

the woman i called by pfizer support, i asked her for help and she said soooooo like a wich to me GEODON??? yes tardive dyskinesia has been reported using this drug, enjoy your day!

my freedom not going out on my age is pure hell!!
instead of going out with friends, i am condemned behind my computer, wich i also enjoy but i cant sit 24/7 behind my computer i dont want that!!!

its schizophrenia sh*t, words sais it all isnt it? in 30 years from now on we all talk different, we all have zyprexas with no sedation and almost no side effects but how will psychiatry make money then?? aha

in 30 years from now on we will all say you know that medicine GEODON, yes i remember like a 20% who took it was good with it, the rest developped movement disorders and tardive dyskinesias

Take the other half of the seroquel. In my opinion only, that was not enough. You only slept a few hours didn't you? That is what your pdoc prescribed isn't it? If not, ignore me. Didn't you say he said 25mg to start? Do you live with your parents? Are they there? Do they know how you feel? Wake them for support.Fondly, Phillipa

i feel a bit sedated, i cant imagine taking 100 mg if not 200 mg again, its pure hell, i cannot function, im sedated like hell!!!

the first day i feel better of any neuroleptic i take like Zyprexa, Seroquel, Abilify, Zeldox

but that feeling goes away very fast!

Zyprexa only last 1 day, Seroquel 12 hours,
Abilify, the first 3 days, Zeldox 12 hours

Hi! I'm glad you're ok :-)

You'll need to work your way up to a higher dose very gradually. The drowsiness may decrease over time. You need to find the lowest possible dose of Seroquel that will supress your eye problems.

In reply to Re: To Jeroen, posted by Jeroen on February 12, 2005, at 11:23:12

Hi Jeroen,

Usually about 300-450mg per day, occasionally up to 800mg/day may be necessary. Seroquel is usually given as two doses per day, one in the morning and one in the evening eg. 150mg in the morning and 250mg at bedtime. Because Seroquel can be sedating, the larger dose is generally given at night. The evening dose should be taken approximately 12 hours after the morning dose.

Some people take Seroquel once daily, as a single dose at night. I think that it's generally best to take it twice daily if you can. If you find it very sedating, despite increasing the dose gradually, it might be best to take it as a single dose in the evening. To minimise daytime drowsiness, the evening dose should be taken a few hours before you go to bed eg. at about 7.00 pm. Try to take the Seroquel at the SAME time(s) each day.

Ed.
