Post traumatic stress disorder and Treatment resistent depression. Can't treat my depression and can't seem to forget about it either. Actually, I'm constantly reminded about it all day, through flashbacks and dreams when I'm sleeping.
Tried all kinds of meds. Been through several coginitive behavioral therapists. What's a man to do?

What kind of event triggered this in you?
I am curious because I was just diagnosed as having PTSD as well.
I understand your pain, believe me. And so far, no medication has helped me- in fact, I think it's made me even worse.

I witnessed my father suddenly pass away when I was 7 years old. At approx 11 I developed depersonalization disorder, due to the total repressed memory of watching my father die. I finally got help when I was about 30 years old for the DD(I know! what was I waiting for!). Anyway, I had a major, psychological breakthrough about 3 months into therapy. That was over 8 years ago. Now my DD is background noise, but I live with constant dreaming (about my childhood for the most part), flashbacks, anxiety and treatment resistent depression. I've tried a lot of meds; medical science has been one big pile of crap in my case. But I haven't tried everything yet, so the search is still on.
Anyway, enough about me, what is your story?
