Hi,
I have been on Klonopin (rx = up to 1 mg./day) for a few months for what is believed to be severe panic disorder/attacks coupled with extreme anxiety. I often feel this dosage is inadequate but my pdoc refuses to go any higher.
I am also on Adderall (have been for years) and Lexapro.
Lately I have noticed I have been getting agitated very quickly--ie, overreacting to something in a dramatically irritated fashion, hypersensitivity to being touched, etc.
I have also been experiencing frequent crying spells or tearfulness at the drop of a hat, which is very uncharacteristic for me. And to provide some mental imagery here, I often feel as if a pervasive lacquer of meloncholy is being poured over me.
Sometimes a general "I can't deal!!" attitude rears it's ugly head, and I have also been experiencing a generalized feeling of emotional numbness/flatness.
Has anyone else had any similar reaction(s)??
Thank-you!

Yes, I've felt the same things. Loss of feeling as in numbness of feelings, not reacting to something that was distressing in the past, loss of taste, can't "feel" bodily wise. I don't know what it is, but I'm weaning off klonopin now cause I'm hoping this is the problem. Anyone else have similar problems? Phillipa

Yes, yes and yes.
I've been having the same symptoms but I am only Lexapro. I am convinced it's the meds (as is my psychiatrist) so I am tapering off.
I have all the symptoms you stated plus a weird head fog like I'm not real feeling. It's hard to describe but it's scarey.
I find myself weeping on the floor for NO reason.
I hope you find relief soon. I understand how you feel.

Wow! i thought I was the only person feeling like I was in a daze or floating. It was scaring me so bad. I spoke with my pdoc and told him I was crying for no reason, going into rage over the stupidest things and feeling out of it/weird, like I wasn't alive. He decided to kepp me on the Klonopin and Buspar and has also put me on Wellbutrin. For some reason the SSRI's and I don't get along. So far so good on the Wellbutrin but I hate being on meds. I thought my anxiety disorder was never going to come back. I was certainly wrong.
This is the end of the thread.
