People reported feeling better after having had a seizure.
Thats why people thought to induce seizures via shock treatment to help people feel better too.

Seizures are no fun, you don't feel better you feel exhausted and confused. Can't imagine shock treatment to be any fun either.

Na, they didn't report 'fun' they reported a lessening in their depressive symptoms.
A mild euphoria or something like that.
