Please let me know how you respond to the increased dosage on Cymbalta
My package insert states that there is no evidence that doses greater than 60mg/day confer any additional benefits.
Have you had any other side effects and did they ease up?

I started the increased dose last night. My p-doc said there hadn't been any studies done at higher doses so they don't know if there are increased benefits from it. I'm still weepy and anxious at 60mg. She thinks I might need a higher dose for it to be therapeutic. I'll let you know about side effects. So far only dry mouth.

i'm at 60mg now and was planning on going to 90mg by splitting some of my caps in half (open & eyeball a half cap). Will be curious to hear if 90mg has added benefit for you.

This is just day 3 at 90mg of Cymbalta, but I felt a lessening in anxiety immediately. My mouth is really dry (again) and my tummy's upset (again), but so far so good.

hope that nausea subsides...yuck. that's one of the things i'm a little nervous about in terms of going up is the nausea. last time it went away fairly quickly but who knows as you go up if it will again.
i'll keep watching your posts before i do anything.

I saw my pdoc today. She mentioned that she would increase my dosage too but not just yet as I have only been on it for 4 weeks. She also mentioned that it is clear that I am still extremely anxious even if not as depressed. So I am hoping that when my dosage increases (4 weeks from now) that my anxiety will lesson too.
She has added Remeron - not as an AD combination but rather to take at night to get some sleep.
This is the end of the thread.
