Is anyone familiar with this? I'm just curious to interpret the code my pdoc gave me on my billing information....it reads 296.89 which is manic depression NEC I believe. What the heck does NEC mean, and how is it different from NOS?

I think it just means Not Elsewhere Classified. It's meaning is similar to NOS.
