Hi to all of you very knowledgeable people,
I was wondering if there was a way to slow Ritalin tolerance, and/or increase effectiveness
I am aware of baking soda, and cough syrup for Aphetamines,
and wondered if there was other methods for Ritalin IR to prevent ever increasing doses.
Cheers folks-Merry Xmas-Thanks for your wisdom.

Two routes I know of and those are
a) Glutamate (NMDA) antagonists,
Zinc, Magnesium, Lithium, Vitamin C,
DXM (dextromethorphan)b) Catecholamine precursors/memebrane enhancers
L-tryosine, L-phenlylalanine, Omega-3 (plumps
up dopamine/serotonin receptors)
You can take the NMDA antagonists in the evening after the drug wears off, and L-tyrosine in the morning with the stimulant.Note, go slow in combining the stimulant with the L-tyrosine as it may cause excessive stimulant effects.

Glutamate NMDA Antagonists?? what are these??
Lithium as in the same one used for Bipolar 1?
I know DMX works for Opiates-Morphidex a Pill with 80mgs of each slows tolerance to the Morph. But Rit??? for real??
I am also taking 150mgs Tofranil, which aparently potentiates Rit-or the other way around?
I take 10 fish oil caps, Zinc, Mag a good multi
Thanks heaps Link, appreciated

Hi!
>Glutamate NMDA Antagonists?? what are these??
Some people have reported good results with memantine (Namenda/Ebixa) for reducing tolerance to stimulants. I don't know how well it really works though! Memantine is an NMDA antagonist, it is used to treat Alzheimer's disease.
