"Hi Glydin :-)

If you're 'great with it and not so great without it' then it's definately not a sub-therapeutic dose!! I'm glad to hear your anxiety is under control with the clonazepam."

Hi back to you Ed,

Thank you for that post. I have actually gotten some strange commentary when I reveal my Klonopin "dust" dosing. Nice to run into someone that "gets it". I have been a benzo success for a while and life is pretty good for me. One of the reasons I hang around this site is to give a little insight that benzo use does not ALWAYS turn into a nightmare for EVERYONE. This concept is sometimes an accepted theory and other times, not readily accepted. I do know there are horror stories and I'm very sorry that happens for some. I have watched the tide ebb and flow several times, but I presist in telling my truth.

Best to you.

Hi Glydin,

It's good to hear that you're feeling well :-)

I think that there is a strong tendency among doctors to want their patients to be on 'standard' doses of medication eg. fluoxetine 20mg. I think it's always important to remember that a high dose for one person would be a low dose for someone else (and vice versa). For example, some people might do well on 2mg fluoxetine/day but others might need 100mg/day!

All the best,
Ed.

Hate to butt-in guys, but you might be interested in a thread above about hepatic enzymes. (Got me a little obsessed, you will note!!). It was started by ZenTen asking "Am I a slow metabolizer?".
Just mentioning it, because, apart from any other physiological differences between us all, and our drug responses, the liver processing of diff. drugs has a huge impact. I had always wondered why I need so little of one drug class and so much of another!!!
Take care
Jas
