Ritalin induces extreme thought blockage...

Posted by mike lynch on November 24, 2004, at 19:02:35

Could this be because, the dose is to high??? ( 20 miligrams )When im on it I am unable to think... I have problems with word finding and overall thinking.. The best way to describe it is thought blockage... I am just unable to think at all..it's horrible especially on tests..

Your not alone, i really got screwed on a TAKS test on the essay section.

I simply could not have any ideas or any feeling that gets me going to put things together.

I took Adderall 20mg, actually you will be suprised the dose is too low, currently i take 60mg of adderall which drmatically makes a differnece, thoughts come fast and smooth.

Low doses i've read acually *decrease* dopamine firing, which can dramaticlly slow cognitive tasks, similar to dopamine blockers, which are used as anti-psychotics. Which block "psychotic" thoughts. You get what im saying.

Higher doses increase dopamine firing, which increase cognitive tasks, and thoughts.

Im not telling you to try 60mg, but it will make a difference trust me.

If you want sourses i'll give them to you.

Talk to your doctor about inceasing your dose.

Good Luck

Matt

Give me some time, ill fetch them, I looked up amphetamine's actions wondering why it made me such a zombie, but that was a long time ago.

They were abstact articles.

Ill be back with em'

Does it make you feel like a zombie, with just sponaneous actions? I feel like im not even a human at those doses, but at 60mg i feel more alive than life.
