Day 3 of Cymbalta + 36 hours since last Effexor...

Posted by Colleen D. on November 22, 2004, at 19:34:57

I am so anxious and agitated and depressed I can hardly stand it. I took my klonopin and doxepin a few minutes ago and hope sleep finds me soon. My last dose of Cymbalta was 8 p.m. last night but I want to be able to take it in the morning since I'm finding very activating like the Effexor. I keep wondering if I can make it until morning. Perhaps I'm switching over too quickly. Will adding .25 mg of klonopin now help me relax and go to sleep?

Had you been tapering the Effexor? My pdoc had me taper off Lexapro over a period of 3 weeks while slowly starting Cymbalta all the while, to try and void withdrawal effects....hope you find relief for the anxiety!

I just cut my Cymbalta from 60mgs to 30mgs, and take l.5mgs of Klonopin before sleep and yes it helps. I also take 5cc's of Chloral Hydrate. But, as "Glydin" says, "Ask your Doc".

Thanks banga and Phillipa, feeling much much
