I think you'll be able to find the K cheap. The Lex would be your big cost - Maybe your doc will understand your circumstances and provide samples. Good Luck.

Both Costco and Walgreens give online pricing for meds. Make sure you call around, you can find huge price differences. I don't have insurance, and find that Costco saves me a bit on my five rx.

 

What about COBRA?

If you live in the US, then don't you have the option of staying on the employer's health insurance for 6 months (while paying 102% of what the company pays for your coverage)???

When I lost my job, I went the COBRA route and lived that way for 4 months. The reason you pay 2% above the employer's cost is to reimburse the company for admin overhead associated with keeping you in the plan.

Please look into this if possible. Do the COBRA thing for a few months and then shop around for a plan that you can live with. Paying for your own health insurance is not probihitive, if you have a high deductible.
