It seems like so many of us have sexual side effects (i.e. anorgasmia) on ADs. Has anyone had any success with finding a way around this?

I take 240mg/d of gingko biloba and 1,000mg/d of l-arginine, and the combination does help somewhat, though it hassn't fully solved the problem - at least not yet. I've been doing this for two weeks. My libido has improved and I am now sometimes able to get an erection, just not every day. And I'm still not able to climax. I'm hoping things will continue to improve as I continue to take the gingko and arginine. We'll see.

If you are a male you could try testerone, I am using Androgel and it is helping with my libido somewhat. My level was pretty low, since I started I'm noticing other benefits, like making me more aggressive. This is a good thing for me. It has not helped me with the anorgasmia though :<
I think this is going to be a problem with any SSRI, it has been for me anyway.

I recently met the first person who said wellbutrin helped his paxil-related problems, but he's kind of an animal to begin with.
What worked for me was dropping my dose and finding an adjunct to help my symptom that doesn't affect me sexually.
I'm down to 20 mgs Celexa and have added Lamictal, but I have some bipolar aspects as well.

I have been on Lexapro for 5 months now, approximately and it's still really hit and miss. I was told that Periactin (sp?) which is an antihistamine (prescription) helps to block the effects of the SSRI for a short period of time allowing the normal sex life to come back.
I think it may be worth a try, I'll post back if it works for me.

I'm taking 60mg Celexa and 300mg Wellbutrin XL and although I thought I noticed a change when I first started taking the Wellbutrin, I'm thinking it might have just been psychosomatic. I've seen so many ads for viagra-type products for women, so whether our sexual problems are from a med we take or just our biology, there are plenty of people, both men and women, that have this problem. I've thought of trying one of the women's products, but haven't done so yet. I wonder if anyone here has tried any of these products and if they had a positive effect.

Yohimbe is supposed to help. I've heard people say it's helped, and that a pharmacist recommended it to them, if it isn't already in the list of supplements you've tried, I think it's available OTC

And of course you should always let your doctor know of any supplements you plan to take. ;-> This is only anecdotal. Just thought I'd pass on the enthusiastic support I've heard for Yohimbe.
