Does anyone have any experience with Abilify? I just started taking it a few days ago. I think I'll go up to 10mg tonight.
I have just gone off Depakote, which I was on for several months but didn't feel that it was doing much for me. And I am on Klonopin 0.5 mg 2x/day. I don't know if that's doing much except making me tired.
I have been on tons of drugs over the past few years. Mostly I am depressed, but I have some serious agitation/irritablity/rage issues, especially in the past year or so.
Anything you can tell me about your experiences with Abilify would be great. Thanks.

I have been on Abilify for over a year now and It is working very well for me. I remember when I first started it at a low dose, I fell asleep for half of a day and felt a bit queezy. By the third day these side effects were gone. I take it for delusional thinking and paranoia, and so far have had the best yeaar of my life. It really has been a wonder drug for me.

Have you had any problems with hyperglycemia? I've only been on it for a few days, and I'm taking 10mg now, but I've noticed increased thirst and urination. I've read that this can occur with atypical antipsychotics, although there is no specific evidence for Abilify.
If you had any problems with depression and/or aggression/agitation, has it helped you with those?
Thanks!

I haven't had any blood sugar issues that I know of. It's worth mentioning it to your dr. and getting checked out though. Abilify has helped me with depression as well as delusional thinking. I have not had an issue with aggression or agitation. I do notice that I am more sensitive to caffine since I've been taking Abilify. It makes me agitated, and it didn't before. Hope this helps.

I take Abilify; 2.5 to 3.75 mg daily. I like it alot. It helps considerably to improve my judgment, which in the past had been pretty bad. If I take too much of it, however, I feel terribly uncomfortable (e.g., 7.5 mg). Not only is my judgment better but I am more sociable on Abilify and it doesn't affect my libido.
