Started Celexa this week, on Tuesday, 10 mg a day.
Am also on Wellbutrin 75mg 2x a day and Klonopin 1x day at .75mg.
All this for BP2.
Question is, I started having a very tight throat today and a gagging sensation. Is this the interaction with the Wellbutrin and Celexa?
THe same thing happened a month ago when I tried Trileptal.
I am getting frustrated that these drugs work but I have adverse reactions to everything.
What do I do?
I am getting so tired of this.

I would suggest that you call your pharmacist and/or your pdoc right away, particularly since you say your throat is tight. It may be an allergic reaction to the Celexa (since that is the newest addition to your cocktail). Others on the board may be familiar with this type of reaction. I am not. I would just rather be safe than sorry and talk to someone who can set your mind at ease.
Good luck.

>Hi, I got the same thing with Celexa. I'm not sure if it was just muscle tension from anxiety induced by it. I have acid reflux problems and Celexa/Lexapro aggravate it more than nay other med and I wonder if it is the reflux that caused it. Anyhow, when I stop it that problem went away. If your doc wants you on a serotonergic like Celexa maybe you can switch to another one.

I didn't take it today and my throat was better and no gagging, and no compulsive yawning---well just a little.
We are trying to attack the mood stablizer from a different aspect since I am so sensitive to meds.
Thanks, it's nice to know I am not the only one.
