I am not Bi-polar but I have racing thoughts and constant worry all day because of severe anxiety. I think my SSRI (Lexapro) is stimulating and in return creates more racing thoughts.
Was wondering what med. is good for racing and out of control thoughts. Just something that will slow your mind down. I will be seeing my p-doc. Tuesday and wanted to be able to discuss a medication change. So, I am asking for advice.
Thanks,
BRC

Klonopin is working very well for me.

I only take .75mg total a day - .25mg at 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. I take 150mg Effexor at noon and 50mg doxepin at 9 p.m.

I am reading through the posts and am wondering what "racing thoughts" are. It's strange, but I used to be a "worrier", but since I have been taking Klonapin for RLS I don't seem to worry as much. I really didn't connect that together until now. I think it really does help with anxiety and worrying. -L
