Jerry,
I had the same response. Tapered quickly from 150...75 one week, 37.5 one week, then nothing. No major withdrawals, nothing.But about three weeks later, major depression reared its head again. I had been a stable dysthymic. I also had life events too, so that may have been part of it, but I think Effexor was at least keeping me out of the pit.

Probably means that you and your doctor have made the right decision in taking you off it and trying something different.
