Has anyone with major depression noticed that it recurs more frequently as you age? I used to have severe depressed episodes every 3-4 years, now it's about every 9 months, but then I go into remission and I feel fine. (I've been medicated the whole time, of course.) Does this mean it's likely to keep happening my whole life/be a lifetime condition?

If I were you with your history, I would medicate for the rest of your life.
