From the researh I've read, the majority of mood dysorders could be the result of enlarged/overactive amgydala, especially when fear panic, OCD, social anxiety are in question
I hate the amygdala.
In england the psychosurgery SST works by short circuiting the amygdala, it reduces suicide post operativly to 5%, (this is in perhaps the most treatment resistant people of our time)
I'd take it.

Yes I agree fully with you.
I posted something very similar a long time ago and whilst it was not well received nothing I have read since has changed my mind one iota.
Have you come across the work of Lingo and Le Doux, someinteresting stuff there!Glenn

May I ask what the psychosurgery SST is?

stereo subtactic tractonomy (or something like that) :), and yes it may be in the UK.
I saw a special on it once, on the learning channel, for treatment resistant depression.

clonazepam does work well for that amygdala problem.
