In case u dont know. I have switched from xanax to klonopin this week. I am very tired now. Is this just a temporary effect until I build up a tolerance in my system? I know with the xanax it took a while b4 the tiredness went away...
Otherwise- i think i will OD on caffiene..lol..

my experience..NO..sorry. I have been taking it for ~6months sometimes alternating with Ambien to sleep. The Klonopin makes me SO sleepy EVERYWHERE. I try not to take it if I don't have to. But it is supposed to keep you asleep throughout the night, which is what I need. So I have started taking it only on weekends, that way I wake up when I fell like it. Oh yeah, only take it if you know for sure you can sleep for a solid 8 HOURS. Otherwise you will be even more sleepy.

oh Great...my pdoc took me off xanax- so now I have to take it 3 times a day or i will be extremelly anxious...Oh, well. Coffee time!!!!Thanks for responding though..

My doctor talked me out of Klonopin and suggested Xanax XR because he said Klonopin will make you sluggish and sleepy.

klonopin was bad news for me. way too much half life. my vote is klonopin = walking zombi.
xanax has a shorter half life seems to suppress anxiety for 4 hours.
just recently i found that remeron suppressed anxiety and helped my sleep.

thanks all. I have taken klonopin for a week now, and its getting better. I am not as sleepy (i do have 2 cups of coffee in the morning) but for me i seem less tired than with the xanax now..go figure..
