Hi All!
My OBGYN just gave me Sarafem (pink prozac)for PMDD. I have recently been on Lexapro for depression and the hormonal stuff.
I am currently starting at around 10mg and going to get up to 20mg daily. The problems Is I am having some side effects of anger and aggitation. Not for any particular reason just all of a sudden get really pissed off.
Has anyone else had this or other side effects? Does it go away or should I d/c the drug. I had some of this on the Lexapro but I don't remember it being as bad as this but I was in a depressive episode so my mind was on other things... sorry to be long winded but I hope someone can help!!!!

Hello, I started about 6-7 wks ago on prozac 20mg. I was previouslly taking paxil. Anyway, I had the same reaction in the first few wks of prozac. I was so angry and I was screaming at my mother...just full of rage. Anyway, it finally stopped within the last few wks. And now I am calm.....So, it will pass.

Thanks so much for the imput! I have been doing better today and am still taking 10mg trying to edge up slowly, I have you felt better on prozac? Are you male or female ( I am wondering about the lovely hormones). I am 25 year old female dealing with depression and anxiety...yuck>

Hi, I am 32 and female. I have noticed an improvement with prozac. I tried every other well known ssri out there and aside from serzone, prozac seems the best (with the least side effects-for me at least). So, I am sticking with it...
