I am looking for information about Effexor and nerve pain. Also, how long does it take for Effexor to completely leave your body? Is it stored in body fat? (God help me if it is - I have plenty of places for it to hide!)
I started Effexor 02/04. Started having sciatica pain 03/04 (no injury, never had any back pain ever!). Weaned off of Effexor in July. (IT WAS HELL! Still having the occasional "brain zap.")
I am going on 7 months of sciatica pain - physical therapy, ultra-sound, accupunture and even reiki - haven't helped. So I've been wondering if sciatica could be a side-effect of the Effexor? I guess anything's possible.
Would love any input.
Thanks!
Dee

Dee,
I'm on Effexor and it has actually had the reverse effect. It has almost completely relieved my sciatic pain. I had been seeing a chiropractor for months and Effexor was finally the med that helped. Sorry I can't be of more help.
