Delayed Sedation Effect With Neurontin?

Posted by TomG on September 8, 2004, at 1:30:40

Anyone ever had a delayed sedation side effect with Neurontin? How heavy can the sedation be? One month after I went up to 1200mg I got some pretty heavy sedation. I had not experienced this during the two months I was on 600mg.

I am also on 20mg Geodon, but this was also started at the same time the Neurontin was raised to 1200mg. The Geodon is quite a low dose to cause the kind of sedation I am dealing with. It is very profound. I am getting my TSH tested tommorrow in the fear I may be hypothyroid. I am also losing alot of hair.

Thoughts Please

when I initially started Neurontin, I didn't feel sedation until 7-10 days into it. At this point I felt very heavily sedated for 2-3 days. Each time upping the dose since then, the sedation kicks in right away, lasting longer, but not as intense.
