Is there an alternative you can buy over the counter to replace valium? I came across GABA and valerian. What else would help?

hi don,
another thing you could try is l-theanine (make sure it's the Suntheanine brand, or it may not be effective). good luck.-amy

valerian does work well (valium's chemical properties are patterned after it)...kava kava didn't work quite as well for me (though it did help) and has been known to cause skin problems

On the other hand Kava kava really do have noticeable effect.
