UPDATE~~~~~~~UPDATE :0

Hi well, i went to the physciatrist yesterday, she kind of said to me that valium was bad to take and to stop taking it, she also mentioned that alot of people have been suffering from nightmares since the new release of remeron (tab to soltab) I told her i stopped them, i told her about wat affects i had with dothiapen.. she offered me effexor can you beleive it? i blame that for my anxiety in the first place :-( BUT i was in 2 minds weather to give it a g o or not, she said high blood pressure is rare and only happens when you go up to 220mg but i would be on such a low dose, she also said inderal would combat the side affect of a raised heart rate etc... then she changed her mind and said i should try remeron again, she rang her hospital pharmacy and they had 5 mnths supply of the tablet form remeron... she told me to cut them in half to 15 mg so i got 10 mnths on them, mainly for sleep and for my anxiety... anyways, she has signed me of again, i will be going to the mental hospital one time a week for therapy only for a few sesions, i dont know what to do, i asked her if i could take effexor and remeron together but no she said no no no no wtf? so what shall i do? shall i just go to the doctor and talk to him about it?

p.s.. i got a ecg 24 hr monito schedualed for 10th september to ease my mind before i me ss about with any more meds, i hate the raised heart rate from them it freaks me out, so i wont be trying nothing till after i have had the monitor..

anyways what you guys reccomend?

thanks

effexor: took it for ,mild depression, first med, i reckon it caused my anxiety went from 37.5 to about 300mg in one night:-(

zoloft (gr8 med), paxil, prozac, raised my heart rate and blood pressure

celexa: put me in hospital with a very high raised heart rate and blood pressure

valium: makes me quite panicky sometimes

trazadone: made my heart very slow and caused me to panick at soon as i took it.

remeron: gr8 for sleep, gr8 for anxiety, not so good for depression, weight gain is bad and i had to stop it cus of the change from tab to soltab and it gave me night mares :-( stopped after over a year no after affects at all..

dothiapan: caused heart flutters, and also made me panicky reminded me of trazadone..

doctor and physc will not give me xanax or klon, will not give me any more ssri's cus the ones i have taken actually dont agree with me, physc mentioned trying effexor again :-S i dont know.. BUT she wont and doctor wont give me 2 meds at the same time?

they also wont let me try an ap say i dont need to mess around with that side of my brain ? basiclly my physc has signed me of again and she made it quite clear i dont need to go back to her, says i just have severe anxiety and mild depression sometimes and says that i need to go bk on to remeron she managed to get hold of 5 mnths supply of 30 mg of the old type remeron, but i dont know weather to take it or just take 15mg now and again for sleep like ????

i am going to go to the doctors and s elf medicate me thinks.. shall i ask for effexor? and if it raises my hrt rate shall i just take 10 mg of inderal? is this safe? will i be ok? i duno... help plse..

thanks again

Hey Crazychickuk,

I have been on several meds myself, and I have found Effexor XR to the best in combating Anxiety and depression. The first day I took Effxor, I felt some anxiety, and took some Xanax to counteract that uncomfortable side effect.

I also did not gain any weight on Effexor XR. How long were you on Effexor until you decided to stop taking it??

best of luck,
Violet

Hi Donna aka CC :)

Have you got the five packets of Remeron? I would take it before bed at 15mg/day. I would also try & get some Effexor as the two combined are bliss. Gradually increase the dosage until you find the right dosage, be patient & spend at least four weeks at each doseage. Blood pressure is important to watch because when the NE starts to kick in, you BP will creep up. It's not a serious problem & for the majority this doesn't happen until 225mg & upwards.

Cheers,
Panda.

i have to ask - why in the world did you go from 37.5 to 300 mg in one ngt? wow!! no wonder you had anxiety! if you said you were doing great at 37.5, why not try it again at that dosage and increase s l o w l y if needed? i hope you find relief soon! best of luck to you.
