Has anybody here tried Prozac with a small amount of Wellbutrin? Is it true that they fight each other's side effects?
I've been on both. Prozac works well but has very strong sexual side effects. Wellbutrin stopped working after a few months and the anxiety it gave me was hell breaking loose (it was at that time that the docs made mi addicted to benzos to counteract that). I wonder if mixing a small amount (20 mg.) of prozac + a liitle piece (25 mg. or so) of Wellbutrin + the Trileptal I'm now taking will do me well in general and help me quit the Clonazepam for good. It will be good to know, because I have to decide now if doing that or going back to Celexa (that's another story).
Cheers.

Lex, that is a very good combo!! It's common and for the most part well tolerated. It will help /w sexual side effects at bay. give it a try!

It does sound good, but if the amount of Wellbutrin I have to take is as high as 75 mg, then I will have to pass. That amount is enough to give me hell with anxiety, anger and nausea.
I wonder if Celexa with Buspirone would be good also.

I took BuSpar along with Effexor with decent results. At the time Lexapro came out, I switched from Effexor to Lexapro (Celexa is Lexapro's older brother). I would feel intense anxiety shortly after taking the BuSpar/Lexapro. So, I tapered off the BuSpar and all was right with the world. (Until lately, when the Lexapro started pooping out, but that's another story).

You coudl try Celexa with Buspar. Perhaps another idea woudl be to try using neurontin, which has anti-anxiety properties with your prozac.

The Prozac/Wellbutrin combo gave me a seizure a few years ago. Because your plan involves very low doses it may not be problematic. As it was explained to me, (much later by a different, better-informed doctor) their interaction roughly doubles the amount of both in your bloodstream. As I was taking relatively high doses of both, I had a whopper of a seizure. So proceed with caution......
