Posted by woolav on August 4, 2004, at 10:26:58

Hi, me again. I have now been taking 20mg prozac for 2 wks. And am titalating up with Lamictal. I went right from paxil to prozac. But I still dont feel great. I still feel depression looming. And my anxiety is worse than usual. How much time do i need to give this med combo to work. ???

Hello, when i went on prosac i suffered heightened anxiety for the first few weeks, so i went to doc and she increased my dose. Around a week later my mood came up which was great news but the anxiety was still there. At the time i didnt mind because i was so pleased to have my mood up. I just tapped my foot to the beat lol!

after taking prozac for nearly two wks, i started having panic/anxiety attacks - hadnt had those in almost 2 yrs! if freaked me out so i stopped taking prozac immed. some dr's/patients believe since prozac is somewhat of a stimulant, it may increase anxiety/panic in some people which makes sense. this may or may not be the case for you.
