Hello
This will probably sound like a very strange question, but here goes:
does anyone know whether Lamotragine can cause pronounced under-eye bags ? I take 250 mg daily, and have developed quite bad bags under my eyes. The reason that I ask is that a friend told me recently that some anti-epilepsy medications can have this side-effect.
As I say, this is probably a very silly question, but any info will be gratefully received.
Thanks
Anna.

It could be that Lamotragine is causing you to retain more water.
I take gabapentin an anti convulsant and it makes my eyes puffy.
Drinking more water usually helps

Anyway, cheers

> Thanks for that ... I guess that I would be able to find out other ways of combatting fluid retention?Food-wise: strawberries, parsley, cucumbers, watermelon. Probably others if you look it up. In addition to reading about it, I've definitely heard people say they pee frequently after eating strawberries.

I'll check it out.
Also, it's occurred to me that you can actually buy diuretic tablets. Do you know whether these interact badly with anti-depressant and anti-convulsant medication? I think I'll do a seperate thread for this, actually ...
Meanwhile, thanks again,
Anna.
This is the end of the thread.
