How come I am more able to express myself and articulate my thoughts when I am on SSRI's as opposed to off them?? When I am off them I really have a hard time explaining what I have to say concerning issues that have a lot of depth to them (politics etc) so in turn I tend not to involve myself in these convos...but SSRI"s seem to help me convey my message in a much more lucid manner...As I am weening myself off it now I am starting to have trouble communicating..Worse then I was before i went on meds...
Well my question is do you know why SSRI's sharpen my ability to communicate?? Is there a certain component in SSRI's that contains this property..?? Can I get this effect from any natural suplement?? If it matters I seem more articulate when I am in a very mild hypomania type mood..which the meds often induce..I have a theory that this side effect just might be making me brighter...(also might have to do with the effect the meds have on the hipocamus..)
Also are there any sites I can go to or whatever on information on how to train the brain..so I am able to express myself more easily...cause i know I am not the only one with this problem...It's almost like a mild form of expressive aphasia..there has to be vocabulary building exercises or something....but it was great just to pop a pill everyday and get this effect...

Serotonin is thought of as a civilizing neurotransmitter. Evolutionists see serotonin as a facilitator of higher order social communication.
I think that serotonin has a very integral role in language processing.

I think that you are not as depressed, so you are happy, your brain can think clearer when its not depressed. If you are depressed your mind focuses on emotions inside you, take the depression away, and you think more clear.
