meth...

Posted by AMD on July 3, 2004, at 18:11:33

OK, this is probably the silliest obsessive question of all time, but here goes.

Yesterday I kissed someone who I suspect might be a crank or crystal meth user. It is possible to get some of this substance into your body via kissing or other intimate contact with someone who is or has used? Call me paranoid, but I am deadly afraid of methamphetamines -- never tried, never will -- and their long-term damage to brain cells (decrease in NAA, etc.), and just want to know.

And yes, I'm seeking professional help for my obsessiveness.

heheheahahaaaaha. Sorry, thats just really funny. Listen dont worry, its very unliketly that happned, and if it did, the amount that got in your system would not make any diffrence. Methamphetamine is not like herpes, or toxic acid that once it enters your blood its starts feeding on your BRAIN!!! thats DEA propaganda lower druggies on the street from doing it.

Methamphetamine, BELIVE IT OR NOT, is used medically under the trade name Desoxyn to treat add. People can be on it for 10 years and be fine, -IF- they dont abuse it severly over a long period of time. Even if you actually did the regular street dose of it, it woulnt hurt you, but the contaminats that druggies scam you with could.

You can now, this moment...... -Sigh with relief, ahhhhhhhhhh-
Your Fine.

Thank you for that, because I am uberparanoid. Every time I start to feel clear-headed I do something to make me dive back into obsessive, worrisome behavior. Can you say manic? ;)

But the person that your kissed could be in danger of meth toxity of he/she is a hard core user, at those doses methampheteine is bad and can cause damage, so im serious about that.

I'm not even sure she is ... I asked her about it, and she said no. She had what looked like acne scars are her face, and I had heard this was typical of crank users. But maybe she just has bad acne. She didn't seem hyper or anything, if anything she was mellow. (She claims to be a "pot head".)

usally hard core methamphetamine users are very pale and skinny in the face, look like some thing from Residant Evil. They at times are more dirty looking than pot brains, very run down looking.

Redirect: hard core user

Sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to redirect follow-ups regarding hard core users to Psycho-Babble Substance Use. Here's a link:
