i am currently taking only 30mg remeron have been for a year, i am severly depressed and my mood is bad i am snapping, and i just cant pull myself out of it.. i am crying and i feel tired etc... shall i up it to 45mg? or shall i come of it? i aint taking nothing else as i dont get on with ssris snris and effexor etc...

ummm sniff sniff well i tryed trazadone, prothiaden (sp) my doc said 1 of them is a trylic i think prothiaden is and he said that cus that didnt help the rest wont either ..... i never reallly had a problem with depression before was just anxiety now i am severly depressed and i dont know what to do, if i raise my dose of remeron i may be to angry or anxious cus of the norph and if i lower it i will be to sleepy and depressed if i stay with just it now at 30 i am gonna stay the same depressed and i am running out of options i cant cope with this... any more suggestions? plse..

I would try some amitryptaline personally. It is considered the gold standard antidepressant, and it is similar to remeron in side effect profile. It is taken at night and has antihistamine actions like remeron, but I would consider it a superior antidepressant.
I was on remeron, it did help certain aspects of the depression, but it simply did not help other aspects of the depression. I would ask about the tryciclics cause they're considered the best antidepressants for some and they are very good for anxiety.
