I've been taking Zoloft 75mg and trimipramine 50mg for over a year and need something in addition for "motivation" to get daily chores done.
Does anyone know about Wellbutrin's possible interactions with the other meds I'm taking?
Any benefits with Wellbutrin regarding "drive", "will" and "motivation"?I'd appreciate any hints!

Yes, my experience was that Wellbutrin definitely increased drive, and I recall telling my pdoc that when I was on it. As for interactions, Wellbutrin can increase blood plasma levels of other drugs because it strongly inhibits the 2D6 enzyme. Zoloft is metabolized by 2D6, but my sources conflict on whether trimipramine is. In any event, you are taking dosages of both drugs that are on the low side. I can't say for certain if any magnification of the effects of the two drugs might be noticeable, but IMHO, adding Wellbutrin does not strike me as terribly dangerous. However, please defer to the judgement of your doctor.Todd

>Todd as usual has great info, I'd just like to add that swaping to Nortriptyline from Trimipramine might be another option to consider.
