Hi Ace, whats up dude? I have never taken Seroquel specifically for OCD. But I have taken it for sleep purposes and it was quite effective for that purpose. I do not however remember if it did much for my ocd. That does'nt mean that it did'nt help the ocd, I was just thrilled that it was knocking me out to sleep for more than 5 to 6 hrs. and that in itself was helping my anxiety states. I say go for it and good luck to you! There is a very good chance that it will help you in one way or the other. FWIW I remember that the lower doses of seroquel were more effective in putting me to sleep, rather than the high doses. I don't know if you have a lot of sleep problems with your anxiety but if you do, I can only imagine that the right amt. of seroquel to help your sleep, can only make your ocd better. Just my thoughts though...I wish you all the success in the world with this med!Good Luck

hello ace champion !
I think I already told you about my time on Seroquel .
I did not take it for OCD but for anxiety and depression .
It was great for me !! Among the best drugs I´ve ever taken. Better even than Zyprexa
No weight gain ! and better for anxiety

Any doubts aboutmy experience Ace , just ask me

Good luck to you !!!

I think seroquel will be a better choice than zyprexa for one main reason.

seroquel does not block the 5-ht2c receptor like zyprexa. 5-ht2c receptor activation is involved in the activation 2nd messangers like the inosotide system which purportedly has strong anti-ocd properties.

Hi Ace , I have been on different doses in the past few years. Last August I was on a high dose of 600mg...which did'nt do much for me. 3 or 4 yrs ago when it did do something for me , I think I was on 50 to 100 mg

Im ok ace , thanks !
Im not feeling bad in this moment , because Im not going out of my house too much time .
45mg of Nardil. Thinking on raising to 60

> One qstn about Seroquel- what dose were you on?? were you sedated a lot?

I was at 100 mg most of the time ace for one and a half year
Then I increased the dose to a max of 350 to see if my anxiety could be helped but It didn´t.
This was only for a couple of months

Sorry about the "sedated" word . I dont understand very well the meaning.
Does it mean that if I felt somnolent??

I remember having sweet sleeping with only 25mg
The best sleeping time of my life when I was on Seroquel

Hope this is what you wanted to know

Good luck Champion !

One more thing ace .

Before the Seroquel I was on Zyprexa at 10mg
I found that Seroquel gave me the same relief only at 100mg

10mg of Zyprexa is the standard dose
300 mg for Seroquel

It´s rare how I felt the same relief only at 100mg of Seroquel
