I just came off of Lamictal about 4 or 5 days ago because I was developing a mild case of SJS. I'm currently going through withdrawal. Things are starting to improve BUT I'm still breaking out into very small rashes that you can barely see BUT THEY ARE DRIVING ME ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WITH THE ITCHINESS!!!! What can I do to relieve this itch before I rip all my skin off. I've already got some of them bleeding.
I CAN'T STAND THIS ONE SECOND LONGER!!!!!

hello there, chemist here. SJS is very serious indeed. for itching, i suggest atarax. you are out of the woods for SJS as you have stopped the lamictal. also try a topical corticosteroid. you will be fine! all the best, chemist

Thanks for those suggestions but the itch is far greater instensity than those products will help.
chemist
Thanks. I've got a prescription for the Atarax now. Hopefully, it will help. Do you know how long it will take before all this settles down?
Thanks all.

Taking the Atarax now, still ITCHING like crazy though, blotches of rashes getting somewhat bigger but then later I can't see them. Very strange. They come and go. The itch is certainly worse than the rashes. I still have this incredible, overwhelming urge to scratch all my skin off but I'm trying not to think about it and to not look at my legs at all (that's where the rashes are).
I've been sleeping almost 24/7, which is good. The more I sleep, the less I scratch or try to avoid the urge to.
Can't wait for all this to go away. Waiting, waiting, waiting . . .
