Paxil for cancer Dep?

My brother has terminal cancer.
He (Hospice Dr.) just prescribed Paxil for his Dep. I thought they might try Remeron. Any thoughts?

Personally I would try Nardil or PArnate. If I were terminal, then I would think that either of these two drugs would be the only ones that could make me have some peace about the situation.

If this is not an option I would try remeron, then paxil, esp if he is having problames with sleep.
