> To all Remeron users
Hi Ace,
Ex-Remeron user here,
> 1. How long did it take before Remeron started working for you??
A couple of days. Often seen during the first week of treatment.
> 2. What did it help??
Anxiety, sleep and sexuality. Energy came after 2 weeks.
> 3. At what dose??At 30 et 45 mg.
> 4. Did it kick in all at once or gradually?
Gradually. BUT very sadly, the energy and the antidepressant effect are often clouded by the heavy sedation. I hope it is not your case.
Remove the f*****g histamine antagonist properties and Remeron would be in the best 3 antidepressants.
> Thankyou my lovely friends!!
Pleasure. Bye.

It started working right away for sleep, took about 4 weeks for improvment and it has helped so much with anxiety..... not done much for depression but i tend to up the dose from 30 to 45 when i am adepressed then back down again.. the less i take the less anxious i am the more i take the more anxious but less depressed i am.. if that makes any sense..
Regards

It took four weeks to see a big difference, and it seemed to happen almost overnight.
I am almost to five weeks at 15mg. I should probably go up to 30mg, but am doing so much better than I was, that I am reluctant to bump up and go through all the start up SE's again (even though they were mild compared to SSRI start ups)
I had SEVERE anxiety (ie trouble leaving the house!) and depression.

I was taking 30mg of Remeron (Zispin this side of the pond) for about six months.
The first week I was very groggy and slept alot. The next couple of weeks it was nothing more than a helpful sleeping aid.
After three weeks or so it dident do much for my sleeping anymore but I found my usual "panic reaction" to everyday situations had eased, I still felt fear and needed my benzos but the onset of panic was slowed down, I dident have that vile adrenaline rush of fear, I had time to adjust to the situation.
I never felt Remeron lift my mood, I was still depressed but I had more energy to exercise and look after myself. It wasent untill I came off it that I relised how much it really was helping my depression and how fatigued I was without it.
I attempted suicide on Remeron so I was takin off it, other factors including alcohol where to blame so dont worry.
This AD is fantastic for anxiety but that was about it for me.
Another good point about this drug is it had hardly any side effects, I dident gain any weight (my doc told me I might) and it did not effect my sex drive what so ever. It did slow down the effects of cannabis though which was a bummer.

Hi there,
The sedating effects of remeron started the first night I took it. For a couple days I was pretty tired, but that was ok cuz I couldn't sleep before. The AD/anti-anxiety effect took about 4 weeks
I was on 30 mgs. I started out taking 15 mgs for 3 days, then bumped up to 30.
All in all this is a great drug with minimal side effects.
Best wishes
