I've been on lexapro for 10 weeks now, and am completely happy on it. I feel great with Lexapro. I used to perseverate on a bad incident that happened in my life. I was very compulsive about it, and couldn't get it out of my head for a year. I was a nervous wreck. I started smoking and picked up many bad habits.
Since I've been taking Lexapro, I think about this incident maybe 3 or 4 times a day. I used to have violent panic attacks before Lexapro, and now I don't have any.
The only price I pay is constant diarrhea. I have diarrhea at least 10 times a day. Can anybody give me any suggestions?

In reply to lexapro is great, but it gives me diarrhea, posted by witzkey on April 4, 2004, at 23:33:56
Hopefully, the diarrhea will go away soon. This is a paste from a post on remedyfind.com. (I'm impressed that you spelled diarrhea correctly. I couldn't.) Make sure that you drink a lot of fluids to replace what is being lost.
"I've been on Lexapro for two months now. I take 10 mgs/at bedtime. The initial side effects of diarrhea and headache stopped weeks ago and I am feeling fine. Last weekend I was able to attend a social function with very little of the anxiety that I normally experience."
This is the end of the thread.
