I have this sensation that I am trapped inside my head. I can't do anything because I am not in my body, it is like I am trapped in a small section of my head.

It sounds like you're experiencing profound anxiety. An AP or benzodiazepine might help.

Linkadge, I experience that very same feeling every day. It comes and goes, it's most likely an anxiety reaction like Laz said. It's like you can't get away from yourself and for me anyhow that is what makes me feel so suicidal at times. It varies in it's intensity. I have heard many people descibe this feeling as if ' They are going mad'. I tell my pdoc this and he just does'nt get it. Or maybe he does and he just dismisses it cuz he does'nt know what to do for me or whatever. BTW I take 2-3 mg of K per day and that usually does'nt even do the job. I have read from some of your posts that you recently started effexor. I used to take it for a long time and i am pretty sure it was effective for that feeling. It is going to take a while for it to be effective for this feeling but I do think it will help! I sometimes wonder about going back on fx myself but I think I might be tolerant of it. anyhow ,let me know how it goes
Best of Luck- I wish I could JUST STOP THINKING ALL THE TIME!!!!!!

I had that feeling when I 1st tried Lexapro. I was unable to express myself. I took a break from it and got back on it. It seemed to go away. It's a scary feeling.
