I am 43 and not doing so well with PMS. Last year my OB/GYN prescribed Sarafem 10 mg to help me cope. (Sarafem is another form of Prozac).
Anyone beside me use this for PMS? Did it work for you?

Hi
I'm 44 and not doing well with PMS either. As a matter of fact, my doc said it's a possibility that I'm going through perimenopause. I was first on Paxil, then Lexapro and now Effexor. The meds do help you cope and cause you to relax some, however, the weight gain in terrible. Good luck and God bless!!

I tried Sarafem for PMDD, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Since I found out that my thyroid is out of wack, I've started doing research on natural remedies for imbalanced thyroids. Come to find out, the symptoms of a sluggish thyroid are very similar to severe PMS. Now I know why I've been having so much trouble every month.
Sarafem didn't work well for me either.
