My doc had put me on adderall and i took it for about 3 and 1/2 months and had to get off of it. around month 3, i started getting mean, everybody aggrivated me, any question someone would ask me sounded like the dumbest question i had ever heard and would piss me off. i stopped taking it after 3 people (including people at work) in different places asked me what was wrong because i looked mad about something. the day after i stopped taking it, i went right back to my old self and felt happy again. has anyone else had an experience like this with adderall? just curious.

Many people can become irritable, depressed, or receieve sensitivity to other side effects of an amphetamine after a prlonged period. Me included.
Talk to your doc about switching to an alternative stimulant that's long-acting, such as Concerta (12 hour Ritalin) or Dexedrine Spansules or other stims....

>Keep in mind it's also likely depression can occur in isolation from your drug. It's the Accutane-effect, I call it-- people who get depressed often take months to realize they are depressed, and have difficulty coming to terms with such a sudden change in their emotions after years of feeling a sense of happiness.
Consider an antidepressant, and switch to a different stim just in case it's the Adderall...
